About the event
Experience the warmth and joy of Christmas during the annual Holiday Tour of Homes in Crockett Texas hosted by the Downtown Crockett Association.
This self guided tour will visit six historic homes and locations in Crockett, Texas with a new stop this year at the Strood-Prichett Log Cabin and Brewer Park!
The homes and buildings you will visit range in style from Greek Revival to Victorian, each has its own unique story to tell. Tour guides will be on hand to answer your questions and share interesting facts about the history and their former residents.
This is a self guided tour. You will start at the Welcome Station at First Presbyterian Church at 713 E Goliad Avenue to receive your wrist band (you must have to enter into any homes), map, and brouchure of the tour spots. NEW for 2024 is the commemorative ornament, snack, and water.
After visiting the Welcome Station, you may pick any home or location to start and proceed with the self guided tour.
The homes and buildings on the tour include:
First Presbyterian Church - 713 E Goliad Ave, Crockett, TX 75835
The Monroe- Crook Home - 709 E Houston Ave, Crockett, TX 75835
The Clonts Home - 1229 E Goliad Ave, Crockett TX 75835
The Allbright-Price Home - 112 South Grace Street, Crockett TX 75835
The Edmiston-Driskell Home - 902 E Houston Ave, Crockett TX 75835
NEW: Strood-Prichett Log Cabin and Brewer Park at the David Crockett Spring - 100 E Goliad Ave, Crockett TX 75835
There will also be opportunities to visit some local murals, statues and historical markers in the Historic Downtown. This is a great opportunity to learn about the history of Crockett, Tx and to see some of the city's most beautiful homes and structures. Tickets are limited, so be sure to purchase yours early!
* **Tickets & Wristbands:** Ticket purchase is required to receive a wristband. Wristbands are required to enter into any of the homes on the tour. If you do not have a wristband, you will be denied entry into the homes. You must go to the Welcome Station to receive your wristband.
Online Purchases: If you purchase online, you will receive an email with a digital downloadable ticket. Please present the digital ticket at the Welcome Station at the First Presbyterian Church to receive your wristband, map, snacks & water, and 2024 commermorative ornament. You must go to the Welcome Station to receive your wristband or you will be denied entry into homes. You cannot present the digital ticket at the homes, you must have a wristband.
In-Person Purchases: Ticket purchases can be made in person at Bella or The Crockett Grind in Crockett. After paying for your ticket, you will receive your wristband in advance. On the day of the event, you will still need to first go to the Welcome Station at the First Presbyterian Church to receive your map, snacks & water, and 2024 commermorative ornament.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
* **Time and duration:** The tour will start at 12PM and end at 4PM. This tour is self guided. Please arrive on time to allow for a smooth start to the tour.
* **Dress code:** There is no formal dress code for the tour, but please dress appropriately for the weather.
* **Photography:** Photography is allowed on the tour, but please be respectful of the homeowners and their property. Do not take photos of personal belongings or areas that have been closed off.
* **Smoking and vaping:** Smoking and vaping are not permitted on the tour.
* **Food and drinks:** Food and drinks are not permitted inside the homes. Please be respectful and enjoy your snack & drink outside of the homes.
* **Behavior:** Please be respectful of the homeowners and other guests on the tour. Do not touch anything without permission.
* **Children:** Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
* **Accessibility:** The homes on the tour may not be fully ADA compliant due to their historic nature. The tour may require stepping up and down elevated sidewalks, porch steps, street corners, etc..., please be cognizant of the physical demands required for this tour. If these are actions you are unable to perform on your own without assistance, consider not participating in the tour. Assitance or additional accessibility options will not be provided by Downtown Crockett Association. Please contact the organizer if you have any questions about accessibility.
* **Weather:** The tour will take place rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.
