For over 40 years, Steve has been building, repairing, and playing stringed instruments at the General Mercantile and Oldtime String Shop in Nacogdoches, Texas. He has a deep love for the music, stories, and styles of earlier times, and his original songs and traditional tunes will transport you to simpler days gone by.
Joined by his wife Sheryl and talented musician Jay White on the unique two-string washtub bass and harmonies, Steve will take you on a musical journey through East and West Texas, complete with medicine shows and historical re-enactment programs.
